2013 Brasil

29 Aug 2013 I set off on my journey to “Land of Holy Cross” Brasil. Took a good 16hr flight via Houston, TX to reach São Paulo. The journey took around good 16 hrs. Procuring a visa was easy but required 2 visits to the Brasil consulate. United airways has good direct flights to Sao Paulo.

The conference was packed with around 700 attendees. I gave the keynote on 30 Aug 9:00AM. The talk went well.

Amazing art work of marble and granite. The stairscase is one huge granite piece.

Cristo Redentor

Make sure you take the tram ride to Corocovado. The ride exposes the best views of Rio. Watch for concrete beams inside mountains. This is some the crazy construction work I have ever seen. They drilled into the mountain and filled the holes with concrete to make sure its stable.

BEERS

Make sure you try some local beers. There is some pretty amazing stuff out there.
